1 Killer Tip To Get Unstuck And Moving Forward

Hey hey!

Alright so I found myself in a position this last month or so where I just really felt stuck.

For me it was regarding which direction I wanted to go with my online coaching business, but for you it could be something completely different.

Regardless of the circumstances, what I think we can agree on is that at some point in time, most of us face the feelings of being stuck and sort of in this weird limbo, that ends up keeping us from moving forward.

So while I was talking with a girlfriend,  in my efforts to prevent myself from being trapped in this space of stuck for too long, I remembered something that I had read awhile back that completely applied to this situation, and I couldn’t believe I had forgot it!

1 Tip  To Get Yourself Unstuck

So lucky for you, I am going to share this little tip that I rememnered in the efforts to help you avoid camping out in the stuck.

This tip is not only the most simple and effective advice I can give you for getting yourself out of that place of stuck, but it will help you do so without having to rely on anyone else.

So here it is…

Ask yourself this question:

“What are three pieces of advice I’d give to a friend who called me up, dealing with the same issues?”

That’s it!

But do you see how powerful and effective this can be? Seriously think about it for a second.

If we simply turn the tables around, take the focus of off us and just approach it as if we were helping our friend out, suddenly things become much clearer. Or at least they did for me.

Here’s the thing, you know yourself and your situation more intimately then anyone else can, so not only can you bring that to the table, but using the exact advice you would give someone else, will ensure that it’s in line with you and how you operate.

This is money I’m telling you!!

If nothing else, I simply challenge you to just try it! And then picture me saying “See, I told you!” 😉

How To Take This Further

So if you want to be a rock star and take this even further, I suggest that you do these two things as well:

  1. Write down your 3 pieces of advice with timelines for execution.
  2. Write down the first step you need to take to make it happen.

You can do both of these for literally any piece of advice, even just concepts that you need to be reminded of. Write them down right away (that’s your timeline) and then find a way to remind yourself of them (that’s your action).

If you do this, you should be out of the stuck in no time!

The real struggle is to remind yourself to do this the next time you are in this situation, and clearly that is a goal I need to set for myself.

Once I remembered reading this everything clicked and I was kicking myself in the butt for not remembering!Ugh!

Of course phone a friend as well for some extra confirmation if you want, I still do. But the more you can practice this the less time you have to spend in that crappy place of stuckness (yes I made that word up), especially if you can’t get  a hold of anyone in the meantime.

So that’s it! Short and sweet but I hope this was able to shed some light for you, as it did for me.

So please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!

Otherwise, be sure to get your butt back here for my next blog article because you never know what the heck I’m gonna write about next!
